Our Beliefs
-
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the revealed will of God to us.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25)
-
There is one true God comprised of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal.
(Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-3, 14)
-
Man was created to live and operate like God in the earth. By voluntary transgression he fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus.
(Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 3:1-9; Romans 5:12-21)
-
On the cross, Jesus became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and healing for all mankind. Salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord.
(Psalms 103:3; Romans 3:24; Romans 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:8)
The inward evidence is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit. The outward evidence is a life of true holiness and love.
(Romans 8:16; 1 John 3:23; John 13:35)
Salvation is by faith in Jesus alone and not by human works. However, our works are evidence of our faith and will determine our rewards in eternity.
(Acts 16:3; Romans 10:9-10; Romans 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:18)
-
Water Baptism is the outward declaration that a believer has died with Christ and is raised to new life with Christ.
(Matthew 3:11; 28:19; Acts 2:38-41; Romans 6:4)
Communion is the celebration of the Lord’s supper by eating of the bread and drinking of the cup in remembrance of Jesus.
(1 Corinthians 11:24-30)
-
All believers are entitled to and should seek the “promise of the Father”, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according the command of Jesus. With this comes endowment of power for life and service, and gifts necessary for the work of ministry. This experience is subsequent to the experience of salvation. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 11:14-16; Acts 15:7-9; I Corinthians 12:1-31)
Other Tongues The full consummation of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the physical sign of speaking with an unknown tongue as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:2, 6)
-
The church is the body of Christ. It is made up of many members, yet operates as one.
(Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23)
-
Jesus is coming again as King to receive His church to Himself.
(1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1)
-
Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Christ will suffer eternal separation from God. Jesus will return with His saints and reign for 1,000 years on earth. Afterward there will be a new heaven and new earth. (Revelation 19:11-16, 20; 20:1-7, 10-15; Revelation 21; Romans 11:25, 27; 2 Thessalonians 1:7)
-
Provision is simply defined as having enough to help assist another. Scripture assures us of provision Spiritually (John 3:3, 11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10), Mentally (2 Timothy 1:7, Romans 12:2, Isaiah 26:3), Physically (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24), Financially (3 John 3, Malachi 3:10-11, Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14) and Socially (Proverbs 3:4)

Accountability is not a burden, it is a blessing that provides safety, guidance and protection. Leadership must remain accountable if it is to align with the Biblical model of accountability. Our church operates with a Sovereign form of government. In this model, one man holds the authority with a number of elders for council. We believe this is the form of Church government most closely related to how God’s Kingdom operates and is demonstrated in God’s Word.
